Speech and Language Therapists

It is not a legal requirement to have your qualifications assessed by Speech Pathology Australia (www.speechpathologyaustralia.org.au) , however, most employers require applicants to demonstrate that you are eligible for membership. You are required to register in Queensland with the Speech Pathologists Board. For migration purposes, need to have qualifications assessed. To work with All Recruiting Services you are required to have your SPA membership.

New Zealand: All overseas graduates need their qualifications approved and signed by the President of New Zealand Speech-Language Therapists Association (NZSTA). Those with under 2 years recent experience, may be eligible for 'Provisional Approval' with a review recommended after 1 years supervised employment within New Zealand.
